Renewed website, SimVimCockpit

The reworked version of our website that includes all pages about new SimVimCockpit Interface is now online. Not all pages have full content yet, some pages don't have all the needed information, but all this will be updating in the near few days.

Although SimVimCockpit beta hasn't been released yet, you can check the new configurator on the website to get the idea of how it will work. It is still in development and will be subject to change, so right now not all configuration options will be available.

  3. Site is looking better and whatever is there looks very sharp.
One thing I was trying to do but I could not figure out was to manually configure a Pin for a custom data ref.
Hopefully this will be added later as All the planes I have have custom datarefs.

Also Will you consider later adding other arduinos for inputs? There are situations like I would like to have one arduino for the overhead panel and another one for MCP or console. This would make reconfiguration of my cockpit easier

    1. 1. Assigning custom datarefs isn't done in the main configurator. Instead, it will be done in a separate "correction" file for the appropriate aircraft model and placed in the plane folder. More info will be available on our website later.

      2. We don't plan to add more Arduino boards.
In your case, you need to have several multiplexers in the overhead panel (for different groups of switches), and a bus consisting of just 4 address wires +1 for multiplexer between overhead panel and Arduino. Aduino can be placed in the area of glareshield.

Luigi.

  7. Great tool for a DIY panel builder. Using the MEGA 2560 and this ArdSimX to run things. Thanks for sharing this with others.

    1. As usual, you'll be able to use any custom datarefs. A separate "correction" config file for a specific aircraft will be used for it, to replace the datarefs and any required values, without touching other options.

You'll be able to make such a file yourself (we will later describe how to do it), but at some point after release we also plan to make such "correction" files for some of the popular custom aircraft and make them available for download.

  10. Hello. I wanted to ask, but Simvim will be compatible with the Ardsimx version. Because I built a MCP 737/800 with the first version of Ardsimx and having to re-connect everything from the Mega 2560 and re-adapt it all over again would be a real nuisance. I mean if the Simvim plugin is compatible with Ardsimx maybe trying to add a Max MAX7219. I tried to load the data.cfg file with the new Simvim but it does not load.
